Hive 2, Theale, Reading – This 3-story commercial office building is home to 4 tenants with a total occupancy of circa 250 people at any given time. The HVAC is made up of aged 4 pipe system served by chiller and gas fired boilers. The system has been suffering constant failures for a number of years and causing many complaints from occupants of the building along with significant upkeep costs. A decision was made that we needed to replace the system and wanted to remove gas form the property at the same time. I approached Airway-Group to put a proposal together that fitted with our budgeted costs. The turn round for the proposal was very swift and matched exactly what we were looking to achieve. The project took a total of 25 weeks to complete working around existing tenants for the most part of the works. The works programme was very successful in keeping the tenants happy and disruption to minimum levels. Due to the time of year (winter) temporary heating was provided by Airway-Group which again kept complaints from tenants down. The works completed in March and the building now has Dakin VRF throughout with individual controls for each tenant. Gas has been removed and the AHUs have been fitted with a DX coil solution. The property in now running much more efficiently which has enabled us to lower the service charge to the tenants and reduce our carbon footprint onsite.

This is the second time I have used Airway-Group on a project of this nature working around existing tenants and will be doing so again in the future. The professionalism demonstrated by the engineers during the works was outstanding. The pricing once again was extremely competitive, and they were able to tweak areas to fit our budget but still deliver the required systems. The tenants are now happy and have agreed to sign new extended leases following the investment to the HVAC systems.

Unit 8 Clarendon Drive, Milton Keynes – Airway were asked to provide a solution to replace an aged VRV system serving 3 existing tenants in a 18k sq ft office building. The brief provided was to remove all existing equipment which was circa 20 years old and failing and was also sited at high level on the canopy of the property which was unsightly. Airway were asked to install 3 new systems and create a compound at ground level to house the condensers.  The works were carried out over a 10-week period working around the tenants with little to no disruption caused to their daily operations. The lack of disruption was a surprise to me for such a large-scale project. The finished project resulted in 3 new Dakin VRF systems giving the tenants total control of their demises. The tenants have been very happy with the new systems, and I am very pleased with the finished result and the service received by Luke & the team at Airway-Group.

I had my air-conditioner fitted in August this year, 2018, and am so pleased with it. It’s quiet, and not only cools the air but also warms it. I had a few days left of the heatwave where I used it to cool (fantastic) and then the weather changed, with cold evenings so I tried the heating option and was amazed how good it was. The room warmed up beautifully in no time, and was really soft and snuggly (as opposed to a harsh skin-drying heat, which I’d expected). I consider it an excellent purchase and good investment.

Airway helped me choose the best unit for the size of my room, and at no point were there any ‘hard sales’, I felt very comfortable throughout – thank you Greg. The 2 young men who came to fit the air-conditioner were 1st class – Jacob and Paul. They were polite, smart, smiled all day as they worked, made no mess, and at the end of the day ran me through everything on how to use the air conditioner.
